Rock Weekend: Led Zeppelin Trail
Over the Hills and Far Away …
A fantastic journey of discovery for all Led Zep fans, through the West Country, Wales and the English Midlands. This is a wonderful opportunity of seeing some pretty and historic parts of England and Wales while indulging our passion for the World’s Greatest Rock Band!
Depart London: on today’s itinerary you’ll see Jimmy Page’s London and Surrey homes, Earls Court, the Hammersmith Odeon, Olympic Studios, Guildford University – first UK gig site- and Hedley Grange – where much of Physical Graffiti and Led Zep IV was written and/or recorded. Overnight Wales
We focus on Wales today with Raglan Castle (Plant’s ‘Song Remains the Same’ dream sequence) and Clearwell Castle rehearsal site for ‘In Through the Out Door’. We head west to Snowdonia seeing Corris, site of the slate quarry and Dolgath Falls, where parts of the “No Quarter” video was filmed and then to the famed Bron Yr Awr. The scenery is breath-taking. Overnight Wales
We turn east and south to the English Midlands and to the land of Plant and Bonham. Today we discover their Wolverhampton and Kidderminster roots as well as Bonham’s gravesite in Rushock. Overnight Midlands
